Foundation is a gridless medieval city-building game with a focus on organic development, monument construction and resource management. Players create modular buildings, shape organic cities, and manage villagers through production chains, trade, and economic systems. The game features procedural generation, free-building tools, and a unique Painting tool that guides villagers by defining building areas, roads, patrols, and resource zones. It includes three distinct progress paths (Labor, Clergy, Kingdom), multiple difficulty levels, Creative Mode, and full modding integration. The demo provides access to the first villager tier, Manor House Monument, limited buildings, decorations, and the Hills map type.
