What this policy covers

This policy explains how GG Play Now handles information when you browse ggplaynow.app, connect Discord, manage alerts, or use other player-facing features. It does not cover the privacy practices of game publishers, stores, launchers, Discord, or any other site we link to.

Information we collect

When you browse

We use basic technical and aggregate engagement information to operate, secure, and improve the site. This can include an anonymous daily tally of which public game and launcher link was opened, retained for up to 400 days, but not your profile answers, the destination URL, or an individual click trail. The public game catalogue itself does not require an account. We do not currently use advertising cookies or build advertising profiles from browsing.

When you connect Discord

We receive the Discord identity information needed to recognise your connection, including your Discord user ID and display name. We do not ask for an email address or password.

When you choose alerts

We store the games or sources you choose to follow, your alert preferences, and delivery status so we can send the alerts you requested or show the on-site fallback.

Sessions

We keep the secure session information needed to keep you signed in while you use alert settings. We do not retain your Discord access token as part of the player profile.

How we use it

We use this information to run the site, keep it reliable and secure, connect your Discord identity, deliver and display the alerts you choose, understand aggregate usage, and investigate misuse or service problems. We do not sell personal information. We do not use Discord identity information, alert choices, or on-site inbox activity to build advertising profiles.

Advertising, sponsorships, and commercial links

GG Play Now may later display advertising, sponsored placements, affiliate links, or other commercial links to help fund the service. If we do, we will identify paid or sponsored content clearly. A commercial relationship will not change the requirement that a game’s availability, price, date, or official link be supported by the relevant source.

If future advertising needs additional cookies, device information, or a third-party advertising service, we will update this policy before that use begins and provide any notice, consent, or controls required by applicable law. We will not provide an advertiser with your Discord user ID, alert follows, direct-message status, or on-site inbox activity for advertising targeting.

When information is shared

We share only what is needed with service providers that help operate GG Play Now, including Discord for sign-in and alert delivery, and cloud providers that host the service. If we later add an advertising or affiliate provider, we will disclose the relevant provider and its role before it receives information through the service. We may also disclose information when required to comply with law, protect players, or protect the service from abuse. Public game information comes from public sources and is not personal information.

Browser storage and retention

After you connect Discord, the site uses session information to keep your alert settings available. The public game catalogue is fetched fresh rather than retained in browser storage. If advertising technology is introduced later, any additional browser storage will be described here before it is used. We retain service information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, or to meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You can browse without connecting Discord. If you connect, you can change the alerts you follow from the Discord alerts page and control whether Discord allows direct messages from the server. If a Discord message cannot be delivered, the site can show the alert in its on-site inbox instead. If we introduce advertising choices, the relevant controls will be available before that advertising is used. For a privacy request or help with your connected account, contact an administrator through the official GG Play Now Discord server.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date above shows when it was last revised. Continued use after an update means you are using the service under the current policy, subject to any rights that apply to you.
