Main Sequence is a first-person space-sim factory builder where you design spaceships, build space stations, and automate everything. You start with a single mining ship in a resource-rich asteroid belt. Use scanners to find optimal mining locations, refine resources on your ship, and build a space station for a permanent base. Factories within stations automate production through conveyor belts and production lines. Module-by-module design allows customization of ships and stations for cargo capacity, reactors, and weapons. The demo includes research, fleet management, and defense against an ancient alien defense network. Procedurally generated star systems present unique challenges, including black holes and neutron stars. Co-op mode lets players divide roles: logistics, defense, exploration. The game draws inspiration from titles like Satisfactory, Factorio, and Space Engineers.
