Try it, then keep an eye on it
How do I get into a game playtest?
Find a playtest on GGPN, open its game page and use Open official to reach the sign-up or store page. GGPN helps you find the opportunity; the developer decides who gets in and when.
Try it on GGPN
- Find the game on GGPN and open its page to read the currently listed way to join.
- Choose Open official and follow the organiser’s request-access or sign-up steps there.
- For an upcoming game, use Notify me if you want to watch it. GGPN cannot accept you into a test or issue keys.
Find the actual join button
Start from the game’s official website or store listing. Look for clear wording such as request access, register or install. A news article or social post can point you there, but cannot grant access.
For Steam Playtest, developers control when sign-ups open and which players get access. A store page being visible does not mean the test is running.
Before you make plans
- Check the platform, region and any stated start or end time.
- If playing with friends, make sure everyone has access. Invitations may arrive separately.
- Expect bugs and changes. Check whether progress is kept, reset or separate from the full game.
- Read any confidentiality or streaming rules before posting clips or inviting an audience.
Have a plan B
A test can close or fill up, so keep another game ready for a scheduled group session. If you just want something to try without waiting for approval, a public demo may suit you better.
You can watch an upcoming game on GG Play Now, but we cannot move you up a test queue or guarantee an invitation. The official organiser decides who can play.
