Before you download or buy
Which game link should I actually use?
Open official on a GGPN game page takes you to the relevant store or game site to play, buy or sign up. GGPN helps you find that destination; downloads, purchases and playtest applications happen with the provider, not on GGPN.
Try it on GGPN
- Open the game page from a GGPN card.
- Read the short description and platform details, then use Open official.
- Confirm you have reached the right game and version before signing in, installing or buying. GGPN is the discovery shortcut, not the checkout.
Match the game and the product
Similar names can lead to the wrong game. Match the developer and artwork, then check whether you are looking at the base game, DLC, a soundtrack or a demo. A familiar logo on its own is not proof of who runs a page.
GG Play Now’s Open official link is a shortcut to the relevant destination. It is not a claim that every page will remain unchanged after our last check.
Read the bit beside the button
- Download or install: is this the build and platform you want?
- Request access: will you need an invitation before playing?
- Buy or preorder: is the game released, and which edition are you choosing?
- Claim: what are the region, account and deadline requirements?
If something looks wrong, stop
Go back to the developer’s known site or open the store yourself instead of following an unexpected login prompt. Do not send passwords, account tokens or payment details to someone offering to arrange a playtest place.
Old news stories can be useful background, but use the current official page to confirm availability. A publisher can move a date or remove an offer after it has been shared.
